MI – JTED District # 2 / HUMBOLDT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT #22 CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: Culinary Arts Teacher (.40 FTE) located at Bradshaw Mountain High School for the 2010-2011 school year. This is a part time position with benefits. Teacher contracts for the 10-11 School Year are based on a five-day week beginning August 9, 2010. DESCRIPTION: The Culinary Arts Instructor will instruct juniors and seniors from across western Yavapai County, preparing them for a future career in the Culinary Industry. The Culinary Arts Program prepares students to successfully enter the culinary arts business and labor force utilizing common industry practices and other general elements of the course of study as required by the Arizona Department of Education. Classroom and Laboratory instruction will take place at the Mountain Institute Campus located at Bradshaw Mountain East Campus in Prescott Valley. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess one or more of the following Arizona Career and Technical Education Certificates for Culinary Arts: PCTF, PCTI, PCTIEP, SCTF, SCTI, and/or SCTIEP. Instructor should have the knowledge and ability to instruct students in Culinary Arts Fundamental and Culinary Arts Applications using a commercial culinary kitchen. Prior successful teaching experience with high school students is preferred. SALARY: Pay determined by the Certified Salary Schedule as established by the HUSD Governing Board.
